 Garbolino – This
company went all out with there stand it really was the best of the show, they
had dozens of rods and a pole alley set up for people to try out all of there
current and new pole ranges. There was also on hand advice from the likes of
Neil Machin and Darren Cox, two of the best Match anglers in the country, both
have extensive input into Garbolino’s product developments and help produce some
very innovative items of tackle. The main items that caught my eye where the all
new G10 Competition pole and the G10 Power pole, both these poles where simply
awesome, they where rigid at full length, light well balanced and strong with
the G10 Competition being one of the straightest poles’s I have ever held at 16m
it was a pleasure to handle. I am sure both of these poles will sell in there
thousands, they are that good. The other product that caught my eye was the
Super G seat box, this was a completely different type of seat box, it featured
a strong steel frame and stable retractable footplate and a swiveling seat
attachment mounted on a strengthened pole, it come with a slide in stacka-box
section for winders and tackle and the top of the range had carbon adjustable
legs and a trolley kit and extra accessories. This box is really different but
both practical and highly useable well done to Garbolino.
Listed below is a sample of the new products I saw at the
show.
Garbolino Super G power 14.5 pole
– This is simply a superb power pole which I cant see having
any problems taming even the largest commercial carp, it was light, balanced and
felt powerful and strong due to the reinforced joints, top piece of kit.
Garbolino Super G carbon seat box
– Innovative and completely new idea featuring a strong frame and multi-swivel
seat which is mounted on a strong central pole , also featuring a more than
stable retractable platform and carbon extending legs plus a host of add on
accessories including a wheel kit.
 Cotswold
Baits – This was another stand that put on
a good show with its vast array of products, Cotswold
baits is a fairly new bait company that produces fish friendly products that
are aimed mainly at the Specimen Carp angler, with products such as PVA
friendly particles and Session buckets which have everything in them from
hook baits to feed pellets, glugs and more, basically everything required
for a fishing session. On the stand they also had various liquid additives
and glugs in a vast range of flavours which include Molasses, Squid,
bloodworm, Salmon oil and many more all coming in 500ml bottle, which is
more than enough for a few sessions can they can be added to boilie mixes,
soaking plastic baits and groundbaits. Also on the stand where various feed
pellets and many different types of boilie hook bait, of which I thought
looked Camopops looked the most interesting as they offer something
completely different, they are made using natural fish food sources such as
bloodworm and freshwater shrimp and are coloured in a marble effect of
different colours, so on waters where fish have seen it all these could be
the difference between a bite-less day and a PB on the bank. So to
conclude if you are after something different for your bait table then these
could be just the ticket.

products from this companies extensive bait range.
Session Buckets - These are a super idea for
both the day ticket and specimen angler, they offer a one-stop bait solution
for your next trip. The session bucket includes 15mm Future boilies complete
with FREE matching Pellets, Pop-Ups and Dip! All you could either need for a
single trip. They are available in 10 flavours such as Banana, Malt Whisky,
Monster Crab, Pineapple, Scopex etc.
Technipops - These are a cutting edge bait
bringing a whole new outlook to Pop up Baits, these baits are different
because they are all one flavour but they come in five different colours all
in the same pot, enabling you to ring the changes when you know the flavour
is working but not the colour. Each Technipop pot contains a selection of
14mm pop-ups in five colours, yellow, orange, pink, white and green.
PVA friendly particles - These are a range of
top quality particle baits ,these come in 1.2 Litre buckets and include
Maize, Hemp, Tigers and Mixed Particles, they are cooked using a unique
process ensuring perfect particles with not only an extended shelf life but
do not melt away PVA bags.
