 Preston
Innovations - Preston had a huge stand housing
all there new products for 2008 and some of there current range
as well, The first item I picked up was one of the newly
released C series carbon-active rods, these have been designed
with the Commercial angler in mind, this range of rods will
cover all methods from the Pellet waggler to the method feeder
and more. I picked up the 9-11ft version and was extremely
impressed, this rod was both light and balanced but with a
hidden strength which was clearly display when Des Ship pulled
the tip ring down to the floor whilst I held the but section in
my hand, the rod responded by producing a flawless arc with more
than plenty of strength all the way through the blank, so taming
those double’s shouldn’t be a problem. Overall the Preston stand
was well laid out and i can see there products selling as fast
as there current range. Thumbs up to them. The following
new products where also displayed on the stand-
Space station shuttle (new model) -
This is a barrow style tackle transporter designed to carry the
space station seat box, but now with the addition of a
additional converter bar it can now carry the complete range of
Preston X box seat boxes. The shuttle is both strong and able to
carry all your tackle requirements. It also feature a removable
utility bag which sits between the two handles offering further
storage for rollers and clothing etc.
Mega Side tray with
Lid - This is a large side tray that has the room for a wide
selection of baits, as well as accessory tackle. The extra
support leg offers superb stability and the option of adding
roost kits etc to be fitted onto the far side of the tray. the
addition of the hinge lid is also clever allowing the bait and
tackle on the tray to be protected from the elements.
Pellet and groundbait
catapults - These new catapults feature soft touch grip
handles and swiveling non-tangle elastic attachments and
strong formed pouches for greater accuracy.
 Sonu
Baits – As usual this company
continues to produce some really interesting products, there
current ranges of products a re
already a top sellers and proven Fish catchers, so with the new
products that are due to be released soon, I am sure Sonu will
be responsible for some great catches this year and help put
some very big smiles on several faces. Well Done Sonu!
Listed below are just a few items from
there 2008 range. Boosted
Wraps- New type of boilies that
are wrapped in a paste that breaks down slowly, this in-turn
releases hi-leakage attractants and nutrients into the swim.
They are available in 4 flavours Halibut, Tutti Frutti, Tuna and
Pineapple and c ome
in sizes 10, 15 & 20mm. Matching Pop-ups are available also. I
think these will be a brilliant addition to any Day ticket/long
stay anglers bait table. Boilie
pellets – These are available in
6,9 & 12mm and should provide a good base for the Boosted wraps
or other boilies to be fished over. Can be used in PVA bags,
spodded or catapulted.
Floater fishing
pack – This pack is made up of a
bucket full of boosted fishmeal flavour floaters; these are
accompanied by 2 packs of ready to use hookable floaters which
are loaded with irresistible oils and flavours.
S-Pellet
feed pellets/Groundbait – These
two products have been designed to complement the S-pellet
hookers, the feed pellets ar e
available in sizes 2mm & 4mm and the Goundbait is formulated
from crushed carp pellets which are finely sieved to produce a
rich oil filled versatile groundbait.
Super crush green groundbait - This
is another new product which is part of there new range of
groundbaits, it is made by using Pure Crushed Green Koi Pellets
then adding feed stimulants, and finely sieved for the perfect
consistency and texture. And I must say it really is a quality
groundbait that can also be used as a slop mix or a paste.
